How Much? - Compensation Guidelines

Below you will find some basic information about the levels of compensation that may be awarded for various types of personal injury or illness.  Please note that these figures are for guidance only and do not include special damages such as loss of earnings.

Please remember that the value of any personal injury claim will be dependent on the nature and extent of the injuries to the individual and their circumstances at the time.

Simple undisplaced with full recovery: £750 - £3,000
Displaced requiring manipulation: £1,250 - £7,500
Displaced recovery after surgery: £1,850 - £10,000
Serious fractures with permanent damage: £5,000 - £15,000

Injuries to
the Cheekbone

Simple fracture, minor surgery: £2,000 - £7,500
Serious fracture with some permanent damage: £5,000 - £20,000
Serious fracture with permanent damage: £8,500 - £25,000

the Jaw

Simple fracture, some immobilisation, full recovery: £3,000 - £8,500
