Injury at Work Caused by Defective Office Equipment

3rd January 2008

An MoD employee injured during the course of her work received compensation with help from our specialist personal injury lawyers.

Faulty Work Equipment

At the time of her accident at work, the claimant was attempting to close the bottom drawer of her desk pedestal.

She suffered a personal injury to her upper arm and shoulder, as the pedestal was defective, and she required physiotherapy treatment and time off from work as a result.

Personal Injury Claim

The claimant appointed our lawyers to assist her in making a claim for her workplace injury, as they have extensive experience in personal injury claims.

They provided evidence to show that her employer was at fault, as the drawer pedestal was inspected, found to be defective and replaced shortly after the accident. The claimant was awarded £10,200 compensation in respect of her injuries, medical expenses and loss of earnings.
