Whole Body Vibration Syndrome

The claimant was employed by the railway industry and spent a lot of his time operating machinery that delivered high levels of vibration.

Due to the design of the seating within the machinery the vibrations were distributed directly to the client. New seats had been introduced however the last ones to be put in were approximately ten years ago.

Liability Denied by Employers

The claimant’s employers initially denied liability however decided to settle. The compensation paid to the claimant was £3,000.
